Season drawing to a close for some teams...

YOUTH ROUND UP – 23rd/24th March

The U18’s Floodlit team grabbed a 2-2 and a 3-0 loss to league leaders and champions elect, Tring Athletic. Goals from Owen Magorokosho and a penalty from Kyle Lawrence enough to grab a draw. They have 5 games remaining and currently sit 2nd.
The U18’s Dynamos completed their season on Sunday with a 2-2 draw at home to Berkhamsted Raiders. Goals from Jonny Buckthorpe and Owen Broughton put them 2-0 up but a second half fightback saw the game end all level.
The U18 EJA team lost out 5-3 in a mid-table battle with Leighton Town. Goals from Max Sato (2) and Dylan Stevens not enough to grab a point.

The U17’s Youth team lost out 5-2 to Chesham Utd (Blues) in the Quarter Final of the Referees Cup. A tough match against top of Div 2 team.

The U16’s Dynamos lost 5-1 to top of the table Histon yesterday. They still have a few games in hand to haul themselves up the table.
The U16’s Colts also came unstuck against a very good Aylesbury United team, losing 5-0.
Our U16’s girls were so unlucky in their match against Herons Youth. Goals from Sophie Breen and Tatum Nicoll put them 2-0 up, but the second half saw them concede 3 goals and lose out 3-2 in the end.

U15’s EJA team remain top of the Division with a tight 1-0 win away at Letchworth Garden City. The single goal coming from Col y Harbour-Brooks in the first half.
Granners U15’s Youth are still on course to win the Division 2 title with 1-0 and 2-0 wins over Berkhamsted Raiders. They are currently in 2nd place with 2 games in hand over Slough Town. Henry Kidnee grabbing 2 goals and Harry Granville the other.

The U14’s Dynamos lost out in their Cup Quarter Final against Div 1 opposition. Losing out 3-0 to Ickenham Youth.
The U14’s Colts remain unbeaten in 2024 with another impressive result, beating Naphill 5-2 and they now sit in 2nd place. A hat-trick from Dinis de Sousa setting them on their way with Alex Willington and an Own Goal completing the scoring.

U13’s Dynamos are now in top spot after another victory. Dylan and Rehan were on target as they beat title contenders, Windsor & Eton Reds 2-1 at home.
The Youth team continue to climb the same division as Dynamos as they won 3-1 and drew 1-1 in a double header against local rivals, Aylesbury United. They now sit 7th in a very tight division and 9 points from top spot with 5 games in hand.
The U13’s Colts were back to winning ways with a 6-4 win in a 10 goal thriller. The Colts were 5-1 up at half time but made hard work of the second half, but still came out victorious. Goals from George Whetter (2), Ben Ludlam (2), Luke Fowles and Nasiah Lee-Henry.
Some good news from the U13’s Girls team as they recorded their first win of 2024 with a 4-3 victory over Shenley Ravens. They went 2-0 up with goals from Riah Fox and Isabelle Gelly only for Shenley to hit back with 3 goals themselves. The resilient Dyanmos equalised through Tegan-Louise Tucker and then Isabelle Gelly grabbed her second and the winner !!!

The U12’s Dynamos lost a close encounter with Chesham United in a friendly match at Fairford Leys. They will learn to get used to the 11-a-side pitches next season.
The Youth team had a decent 4-1 victory against Penn & Tylers Green, coming from 1-0 down to win the game.
The Colts managed to grab a great 4-4 draw against St Johns. Both teams had chances to win the match but shared the points in the end.

U11’s Dynamos were back to winning ways with a 2-1 win away at Wendover. Dynamos dominated the game and could have scored more.
The U11’s Colts have now recorded 9 wins on the bounce as they won 3-0 away at Pitstone & Ivinghoe and end the season with this victory. Great way to end the season.

The U10’s played a friendly against Risborough Rangers and ended up winning 2 and losing 2 in a close contest.

The U9’s Dynamos grabbed 3 draws and a loss in their game against Downley Dynamos. This was their last game of the season and are planning to back down to their own age group next season.
The U9’s Youth team had 2 matches this weekend. Saturday saw them win 1, draw 1 and lose 2 against Prestwood. Venkata scored 3 goals, Victor and Jessee with 1 each.
On Sunday they got 2 wins and 2 losses against Risborough Rangers. Venkata grabbing 2 more goals, Ismail (2), Daniel, Leaner and an own goal.

The U8’s played against a good Downley Dynamos team and won 1 and lost 3 in their games. Still work in progress for Daniel, but they are playing well.

The U7’s Dynamos are going from strength to strength as they recorded an impressive 4 wins against Thame United on Sunday morning. They scored 14 goals in total.

The U6’s played another friendly as they start to prepare themselves for league football next season. Ian Alderman reports they won 3 games and lost 1 against Stoke Mandeville. They scored 9 goals in their games.

Finally, Ryan Brinn, manager of the BOBi team reports back on their tournament in Oxfordshire at the weekend. In their previous tournament they struggled but this time, they managed 4 x 0-0 draws and only 2 x 1-0 losses which shows some great progress for the team. Player of the Tournament for AVD Panthers was goalkeeper, Malachi. Well done all.
