3 teams win cup matches on penalties...!

Youth Football Round Up – October 5/6th 12/13th

The weather has had a major impact on games being played at the club over the past couple of weeks, however, a number of games still took place.

The U18’s Dynamos lost out 7-0 in their cup match with Naphill, their first defeat since the opening day of the season.

The U16’s EJA team have had a couple of Cup successes the past 2 weeks. Both ending in a draw and both times winning on penalties. In the B&B County Cup Teddy Haynes scored the goal of the season for them with a stunning 25 yard volley against last seasons winners, Newport Pagnell. Oliver Kurtak then saved 2 penalties leaving Dylan Borrett to score the winning penalty.
The week after they drew 2-2 in the League Cup with Northwood. Going 2-0 down, goals from Harley Mark and Mason Leech drawing them level…another penalty shootout. Oliver again making some saves and Tiger Georgiou scoring the winning penalty.
The U16’s Dynamos have won one and lost one in the last couple of weeks. They gained a 4-2 win over the Youth team in Division 1 but came unstuck 4-1 against a decent Flackwell Heath team.

The U14’s Dynamos were back to winning ways after their first loss last week. Away at Pitstone in the Cup, they won 7-1 with 7 different goalscorers…! Rehan, Rio, Joseph, Sid, Josh, Alfie and Max all hitting the target.
The U14’s Youth have had a tough start to the season, losing out 5-0 last week, but managing a superb win on penalties in the cup this week against Flackwell Heath from a higher division. George and Jake grabbing the goals during the match to end 2-2. Some great penalties with Charlie in goal for the Youth team making the vital save and sending them through to the next round.
Bart Sliwinski’s U14’s Colts are still building their team up and despite going in at halftime 2-1 up, they couldn’t keep the lead and eventually lost out 6-2. Oliver scoring both goals for the Colts.
The U14’s Girls lost out 3-1 last week to a decent Blewbury team but came out on top this week in a remarkable match away at Didcot…the teams battled out a 15 goal thriller, with Tegan Tucker grabbing a hat-trick and getting an 8-7 victory…!! Amazing!

After a poor start the U13’s Dynamos have now had back to back victories as their season is well and truly underway now. After losing 7-0 in the league to Chesham, they faced them again in the County Cup last week and sneaked an impressive 1-0 win. Leroy getting the winning goal. Also a mention to Tyler, in goal for Dynamos, as he saved a second half penalty to keep them in front. This week they won again after going 1-0 down. They dug in and 2 second half strikes from Maliki securing their first league win of the season. Well done Charlie Hine and his Dynamos !
The U13’s Youth continue to rip up the form books as they played Chesham Utd who were 3 division above them in the cup. They went 2-0 down but fought back to 3-3 to force a penalty shootout. Sam P grabbing two goals and Zachary scoring with 8 mins to go. Some great penalties saw them win 4-2 on penalties and progress to the next round.
The U13’s Athletic lost their first match of the season…but against an opposition 4 divisions above them in the cup. Losing out 3-2 to Penn & Tylers Green. A great effort from all the boys and a screamer of a goal from Jan.

The U12’s Dynamos continued their superb early form making it 5 wins from 6 games with a 3-1 win away at Downley Dynamos. Paul Knowler says the group of boys are developing well and controlled the game well all match.

The U9’s Youth won 2 and lost 2 in their matches. Missing a few players they all dug in and played some good football and one touch passing.

The U8’s Dynamos won 2 and lost 2 with Risborough Rangers. All the games were very close and could have gone either way.
The U8’s Youth team have had a very successful couple of weeks. Having not won any matches until this point, they grabbed a win and a draw last week and 2 x 2-2 draws this week. Unbeaten in two weeks now for Mike Borrett’s young U18’s Youth.
