Youth Round Up – November 11th/12th
What a great weekend of results…34 Matches. 21 Wins, 4 Draws, 9 Losses.
8 of those were Cup Matches…and we won 6 of them !!!
The U18’s Dynamos are through to the Quarter Finals of the League Cup with a 5-1 win over Marlow Youth. The management of Iain Willcocks (and Damian Eatwell…I suppose) is clearly working well as they progressed with a first class performance. A 7-minute hat-trick from Akmel Diaby and a goal each for George Whall and Alfie Garrad saw them through to the next round.
Also winning were the U18’s EJA team with Greg Panter and Mike Borrett (James was ill) steering them to an equally impressive 4-1 away at Romford. 2 goals each from Seth Rowley and Max Sato getting them in the hat for the next round.
The U17’s Youth team battled out a very respectable draw against Ruislip Rangers, gaining their first point since early October.
The U17’s Colts finally got back to winning ways with a 4-0 win in the U17 Referees Cup defeating Thame Red. Goals were from Alex Kasenza, Axl Hughes, Charlie Russell and Keane Hutchings.
Manager Richard Baber was pleased with a 6-1 win against bottom club Burnham. A much needed win and hopefully a boost to their squad. They currently sit mid-table in Division 3.
The U16’s Girls team were defeated 6-0 against Birchwood in the League Cup.
Into the 4th Round of the EJA League Cup go the U15’s Athletic team with a very hard fought win away to Walthamstow, who are currently top of their league. Colby Harbour-Brooks with both goals to secure the win.
Paul Driscoll reports another victory as they defeated Downley Dynamos on a mud bath of a pitch, 5-3 on Sunday morning. Jack Masheder scored within 20 seconds of the start and Kain Garrod, Sam Dolan, Jayden Mugonapanja and a spectacular free kick from the halfway line from Henry Bungay the other scorers.
Phil Granville’s U15’s Youth sit 3rd in the table after a 2-2 draw with Tring Tornadoes who are 5th. Aaron Fenn and Martin Tasev scoring the goals.
Martyn Jones and Ben Sullivan’s U14’s Dynamos remain unbeaten with another win. Another hard fought match defeating Harefield 3-1.
Nathan Poole’s Colts also won 3-1 against FC Cippenham and move up to 3rd in the table, moving ahead of their opponents. Oliver Godfrey with a brace and Alex Willington with the other goal.
The U13’s Dynamos ran riot in their B&B Cup match against Radnage Raiders, winning 10-0 and through to the next round. Goals from Jake (2), Kyle (2), Jayden (2), Alfie, Rehan, Rio and Dylan.
Stefan’s U13’s Youth lost out in their League Cup match 4-1 against higher league opposition in the form of Ruislip Rangers. Their first recorded loss in 2 years…very impressive.
The U13’s Colts lost out 3-2 in their league match with second placed Explorers, but remain in the hunt as they sit in 3rd place.
The U13’s Girl Blue team faced unbeaten Tower Hill Vixens in the League Cup and at full time they were all level at 2-2. The Dynamos took their penalties well and won 3-2 in a very tight match. Congratulation on a big scalp and onto the next round.
The U13’s Girls Yellow team drew 2-2 in their League match at home to Arlesey Town. Not surprisingly, goal machine, Jessica Ansley scoring both goals.
Richard Evans U12’s Dynamos recorded a good 3-2 win away to Beaconsfield. Going 2-0 down and looking ominous, but the boys rallied superbly well and goals from Zafirur Rahman, Logan Harris and the match winner from Alex Janik securing the victory.
Dan Taylor’s U12’s Youth lost out 6-2 in their encounter with Explorers. Dan reports they started slowly and never recovered…it could have been a lot closer.
The U12’s Colts recorded a decent win in a close 1-0 win against Holmer Green.
The U11’s now go into competitive football officially (not that is ever anything else…!) and the U11’s Dynamos started with a 5-2 win against Risborough Rangers reports Paul Knowler.
The U11’s Youth have had a mixed bag of results this season and lost out 3-1 at Maidenhead this weekend.
The U11’s Colts had plenty of chances to win their match at Marlow Royals and despite being the better team, lost out 2-1 in the end. We all know how that feels…!
The U10’s had an impressive set of results winning 3 games and Drawing the other against Stoke Mandeville.
Our U9’s Youth team had a tough morning against a very good Prestwood team. They won 1 and lost 3 of their 4 matches. Still some entertaining matches and they will learn from this.
Finally the U7’s were back in action and outplayed their opposition winning all 4 matches and scoring an impressive 14 goals in the process.
