The Warriors moved up to second place in the table with a hard fought win over the Hornets Reserves.
An early goal from Kai Borrett steadied the nerves but the wind and rain played havoc with any decent play. Warriors did come close to doubling their lead when George Panter hit the bar, but the first half ended with the one goal.
Within a few minutes of the second half starting, Khori hit a long ball over the defence and Owen Broughton was on hand to control and beat the keeper to make it 2-0...and fairly comfortable.
However, the Warrior failed to capitalise and Hornets got themselves back with a chance as they scored with more than 25 minutes remaining.
A couple of chances for Rohan and Kai went begging, but as the match entered the last minute, a handball in the box was spotted by the referee and penalty awarded to Warriors.
Kai stepped up and smashed it past the keeper to make it 3-1.
