AVDFC 3-2 Corsham Town

With the prize of a spot in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup at stake, Dynamos were pitched against Hellenic Premier team, Corsham Town, who are unbeaten this season.

Batchelor named the same starting line up that defeated Dunstable mid-week.
The first 10 minutes both teams were sizing each other up and Dave Brown had a snap shot saved and Abu cleared the first Corsham chance.
22 minutes and Corsham broke the deadlock, a little against the run of play. A Dynamos attack broke down and Corsham played a ball over the defence and their striker got to the ball first and beat Locke-Hart from close range. 0-1 Corsham.

35 minutes and Corsham had another decent chance, but Locke-Hart made a decent save to keep the score at 0-1.

A couple of minutes before half time and Dynamos were back level. Dave Brown was the engine in the heart of midfield and his passion won the ball and he swueezed a great ball through to Jake Baldwin who calmly slotted the ball past the keeper. 1-1.

Half time: Dynamos 1-1 Corsham

Within 5 minutes of the second half starting, Corsham were back in front. A long range effort on target but Locke-Hart unfortunately couldn’t hold on and the ball fell into the net. 1-2 Corsham.

On the hour mark Exaucee marauded forward with the ball and skipped over a couple of challenges, playing the ball through to Baldwin. His shot was well saved and Blaaze couldn’t get on the rebound.

The first sub came on 71 minutes with Blaaze replaced by Max Sato.
He was straight into the action as he collected Abu’s ball and sent in a superb cross which Alfie Anderson improvised brilliantly to chest the ball past the keeper into the far corner. Great goal. 2-2.

81 minutes and what turned out to be the winning goal. Jenkins played the ball out from the back, finding Abu in space. He raced forward and managed to get a cross into Dave Brown who controlled well and hit his shot past the keeper to give Dynamos the lead 3-2.

Rheon Pascal cam on to replace Jacob Williamson. There was still time for Locke-Hart to pull off a smart save, Exaucee and Baldwin to both be shown the Yellow Card….and in the dying moments of the match, a Corsham player was shown a straight red for striking out at Abu.

All in all a superb result and onto the next round go Dynamos !!!
